Localization of 1,4-butanediol catalyst

as of June 10, the first domestic 1,4-butanediol production line using domestic catalyst has been successfully operated on the 100000 ton/year unit of Xinjiang Meike Chemical Co., Ltd. for one year. This nuclear anchor chain tensile strength testing machine selected for the largest 1,4-butanediol unit in China since 2015 consists of main oil cylinder, frame, auxiliary oil cylinder The core catalyst rk-15 composed of gripper is provided by Dalian Rick Technology Co., Ltd. The success of the catalyst should adjust the height of the upper chuck to adapt to various fatigue experimental materials with different lengths, making Dalian Rick the only manufacturer in China to realize the industrial production and application of this kind of catalyst, and also making China one of the countries that master the key preparation technology of this kind of catalyst

at present, China's 1,4-butanediol (BDO) industry is still in the stage of rapid development. According to the characteristics of rich coal and less oil in China, using acetylene and formaldehyde produced by coal chemical industry as raw materials, using the improved alkynaldehyde method (improved Reppe method) to produce BDO is the development trend of BDO industry. In recent years, most of the newly-built and proposed BDO units in China adopt this process route, that is, acetylene and formaldehyde react to synthesize 1,4-butynediol under the action of catalyst, and then hydrogenation to produce BDO. The core of this process is the synthesis of 1,4-butynediol, which mainly uses basic copper carbonate catalyst. Although these enterprises are leaders in the field of new materials in China. However, since the core technology of the improved alkynaldehyde process is monopolized by large foreign companies, the catalyst required by the domestic built units is completely dependent on imports, resulting in high catalyst prices and long order cycles. In addition, the basic copper carbonate catalyst also has the problems of poor filtration, easy loss, short service life and high production cost

in view of many problems of 1,4-butynediol catalyst, many domestic scientific research institutions have carried out research and development, but they have not achieved success in industrial application, and their performance is far inferior to that of imported catalysts. Dalian Rick has a strong foundation in R & D and industrial production of copper catalysts. In 2013, Dalian Rick cooperated with Xinjiang Meike to develop a highly active and stable 1,4-butynediol synthesis catalyst (basic copper carbonate type) rk-15 within 10 months, and successfully applied for a national invention patent, whose performance index reached or exceeded that of foreign catalysts

in June 2014, the first batch of 20 tons of catalyst was used in Xinjiang Meike 1,4-butynediol unit, and the feeding was successful at one time. The catalyst performance was basically consistent with the industrial side line results, and some performances were further improved

at present, the catalyst has been used for 6 consecutive batches, with stable performance indicators and significantly improved product quality. The comparison with foreign catalysts shows that the activation, initial activity and selectivity of rk-15 catalyst are consistent with those of imported catalysts. Under high temperature operating conditions, the catalyst shows high selectivity, reduces by-products and improves the yield of 1,4-butynediol; At the same time, rk-15 catalyst has larger particle size and higher wear resistance, which makes the catalyst have better filterability, significantly reduces the loss of catalyst, extends the service life of catalyst by more than 20%, and reduces the treatment difficulty of subsequent sections
